Dancer?

Born in India, she started performing at the age of 2 in her Grandmother’s living room, singing ‘Oh, My Darling Clementine’ with a bamboo stool as a stage, and a badminton racket for a guitar.

Growing up Singaporean, Avaana attended an international High School on a full artistic scholarship, and solidified her devotion to performance in training with Singapore Repertory Theatre’s (SRT) The Young Company.

Avaana Harvey is a New York City based Actor who loves music, lights and pretty shadows.

About Me :)

Avaana will soon be graduating with a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University (bleed orange!). As a Third Culture Kid, an important skill that she has honed is acclimatizing herself to various parts of the world, training in London at Shakespeare’s Globe, attending Sorkin Week in Los Angeles, and completing The Tepper Semester in NYC.

As an artist and human, she values gratitude and passion, and engages with art through parted lips. Her superpower is her big feelings; She approaches her work with electricity, and brings controlled chaos and unpredictability to the characters she plays.

Actors who inspire her are Gina Rodrigez, Stephanie Hsu and Andy Samberg! I.e. anyone who can turn a fist fight into a dance battle…
